How fast should my 1969 Lemans run the quarter mile?
It's a 1969 Pontiac Lemans 4 door Hard-top
Starting from the front:
225/60/15 Falkans up front
Rebuilt Pontiac 350 v8
Edelbrock 650cfm 4-barrel
Edelbrock Aluminum intake manifold
Hooker Comp Headers
Flowmaster Super60 exhaust with H-Pipe
Original Turbo350 automatic transmission
Original running-gears
255/60/15 Radial T/A's in back.
Wow, tires are irrelevant, "rebuilt" 350 can mean anything (Pistons?, Timing Gear and Chain?, Oil Pump?,Cam?, Lifters?, 1.65:1 Rocker Arms?), Eddy Thunder 800 cfm is better suited to high HP applications, Doug Thorley is much better than Hooker, Flowmasters are restrictive junk (Dynomax UltraFlo) nobody runs H-Pipes (Dr. Gas X-Pipe)... You haven't even put in a higher rpm Stall Converter and you have a stock rear-end. From what I can tell your times are going to be disappointing. I highly recommend "How To Build Max-Performance Pontiac V-8s" by Jim Hand, it is the holy bible of classic Pontiac enthusiasts. Jim has tested everything out there, making well over 3500 passes at the track, hell, he gets 11s with his streetable '71 LeMans Station Wagon!
